Hi! I am a Venkatesh, a PhD candidate at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute and Université de Montréal working in David Rolnick’s group. My research interests are in applying AI to applications in climate science and biodiversity conservation.

Previously, I was working at HyperVerge on applying AI to geospatial imagery. More specifically, I worked on change detection. I completed my bachelor’s degree from SRM University in India.

Beyond research, I like watching and playing football, lifting weights and exploring the local indie music scene. As a seasonal sport, I am an avid biker in the warm Montréal summers and a runner in the freezing Montreal winters.
